Landlord and Tenant - Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals

The Practice acts for both Landlord and Tenants at the expiry of commercial Leases or at Rent Review. It is able to provide advice on market rents that are being achieved within the locality based on up to date rental evidence. The Practice will offer sound professional advice as well as the additional benefits of using negotiating skills in this specialist and complicated process involving the interpretation of Leases, Case Law and Statute. Peter is a member of Arbrix, which provides training for RICS Arbitrators involved in commercial rent reviews.

Land Compensation Claims

The Practice periodically acts for property owners who may suffer loss as a consequence of statutory works, either where land is taken, or where no land is taken but where there is still a loss of value in accordance with Part 1 under the Land Compensation Act 1973. The Practice has found that some specialist practices do not have the background knowledge of local values to maximise claims.
